1885: Born June 11th in Buena Vista Colorado of parents from Missouri.
1917: Living in San Francisco
1920:Moved to Oakland and resided with Nolani , a Hawaiian of English parentage.
1924: Relocated to Los Angeles-own practice at 8604 Sunset Blvd. Member of Hollywood Architectural League.
1930: Forest Hills Long Island to design hotel colony for Gurney's Inn.
1939: Designs richly detailed Spanish "hacienda" for Henry Benner at 6579 Pickwick St
1942: Relocates to Oakland
1973: Dies in Mexico in December

Commissioned works:
Coleman was commissioned to design several large hillside villas in Mediterranean, Venetian, and Normandy styles in neighborhoods such as Los Feliz, the Hollywood Hills, and Beverly Hills.
